MAJOR PENTATONIC SCALE

The Major Pentatonic Scale is essentially the skeleton of a Major Scale. It’s a bit informal sounding when compared to the full scale. It’s well suited for a myriad of different playing styles. Country, Folk, Blues as well as international styles employ this scale to have a more “open-ended” Major sound that isn’t quite as busy.
